Recs Disclaimer:

These fics are not always of the best quality, despite my attempts to only tag well-written stories. Some may have poor characterizations or less-than-stellar writing, but every (well, almost every; sometimes I just upload all the tabs I had open at the time without really looking at them) fic here is tagged because either I have read it multiple times or suspect I will read it multiple times. So sometimes there are anatomically-implausible porn fics or completely ludicrous storylines, because they got stuck in my head for some reason or another. 

My tagging system is fairly good, when it's been used to fully tag a fic. However, currently I have several thousands of fics that need more descriptive tagging. (these fics are marked ::needs_tags) They do have summaries, so you may be able to get an idea of whether or not you're interested anyway.

Pay attention to the warning and kink tags!  They're not foolproof, but I do try to warn for potentially triggery or upsetting things, as well as for just squicks.  Always double check with the actual fic's heading, though, because I might not have warned for everything.  Remember, read at your own risk! 



Rating System:

RATINGS:

Quick and dirty filter by audience rating. G-PG13 generally means no explicit sex or graphic violence. PG13-R means I was unsure as how to rate the fic, usually due to mature topics or sexual acts not depicted explicitly. R-NC17 usually refers to sexual content, but sometimes to violence or mature topics. (by mature topics, I mean sexual assault, suicidal themes, etc. NOT sexuality.)

Tag Descriptions - Warnings
Note:  Clearly this is not a complete list of my tags, but I have tried to at least describe what each of my warning tags cover, although I may have missed some or considered the description to be inherent in the tag itself.

warning:suicidal-themes

this warning covers suicidal thoughts or actions on the part of a main character or a main character's knowledge and reaction to the suicidal thoughts or actions of another. may include successful suicides, suicide attempts, self-injury*, or just suicidal ideation. (*note: self-injury has a separate warning tag since those who self-injure are often not actually suicidal)

warning:mental-illness

this warning means that the fic in question deals with the issue of mental illness, either by portraying a mentally ill character or a character's knowledge of and reaction to a mentally ill person. these fics may be triggering for those who have experienced depression, mania, psychosis, compulsions, etc. (they may also be cathartic, but read at your own risk)

warning:eating-disorder

warning for either a portrayal of a main character with an eating disorder and/or experiencing body dysmorphia, or a character's knowledge of and reaction to another character's issues

warning:consent-issues

this tag covers any and all scenarios where consent is unclear or unable to be fully given due to current mental state or power dynamic. also includes scenarios where characters consent, but are coerced into the initial situation (e.g., fuck-or-die, aliensmadethemdoit, etc.)

warning:gender-policing

may also cover misgendering.  these fics may be triggering for those with gender dysphoria or those who've had bad experiences with gender policing

warning:incest

fic depicts or alludes to an incestual relationship OR fic depicts/alludes to incestual sexual abuse

warning:sexual-abuse / warning:sexual-assault/rape 

depicts or alludes to acts of sexual abuse, assault, and/or rape. may be triggering; read at your own risk 

warning:self-injury

depicts or alludes to acts of deliberate self-harm.  may or may not coincide with suicidal thoughts and/or actions.  may be triggering for those who have struggeled with self-injury in the past

warning:infidelity

depicts sexual and/or emotional infidelity in a romantic and/or sexual relationship.

warning:bullying / warning:physical-assault

fics contain explicit scenes of bullying / physical-assault

warning:child-abuse / warning:domestic-abuse / warning:emotional-abuse / warning:physical-abuse  

depicts or alludes to some form of abuse (see tag for more specificity).  may be triggering

warning:biphobia / warning:homophobia / warning:racism / warning:sexism / warning:transphobia

these tags are used whenever I felt that the actions/words of characters were offensive enough to potentially be triggering; these tags are therefore not foolproof
