no, it wss the quote “it’s not a decision, it’s a disorder” post. like. suicide is definitely often a result of living with mental illness, and i think it’s fair to say ‘the depression killed him’ (god knows sometimes it feels like terminal is a better description than chronic) but that doesn’t mean it wasn’t his decision to end his life. like idek if the distinction i’m making here exists, but.

maybe it’s analogous to how it’s totally fair to say someone died of alcoholism but that it doesn’t change the fact that they had agency in dealing with it???
