shamelessly_mkpMeet Mister Theodore Bear! (aka Teddy or Mister Bear. mostly just Mister Bear.)
Christmas day, I was with the whole family at my grandfather’s house, and I got tired and had a not-quite nap on a couch using this bear as a cuddly pillow. Very cuddly! (for context, the downstairs couch in my grandfather’s house has always had stuffed animals on display.)
Later, when I was saying goodbye to my grandfather, he (out of nowhere) asked if I’d like to take the bear home. I think maybe the animals remind him of grandma, who passed this last year? Anyway, I was torn between what I wanted to do and what I, as a 25-year-old, ‘should’ do, and he told me that *he* bought that bear and *he* was a lot older than 25, so forget ‘should.’
I’m not really close with Grandpa - he’s quiet, and I’d never really talked to him, although I’m getting to hear him more now that I hang with the grups at family things - and the fact that he gave me the bear, just ‘cause he saw I liked it? that. that means a lot. <3
