I was waffling back and forth about participating in this, because my older fic is all part of a co-authored crackity mob!au, and the writing is. less than stellar? (It really didn’t help that my co-author and I were writing it in alternating chunks with really different writing styles. So. choppy.)
But even though a lot of it makes me cringe, I’m still proud of the Fabfather - it was the first time I’d ever really written fic, the first time I’d ever finished writing a story longer than a couple thousand words, and it was one of the funnest writing experiences I’ve ever had.
(It got less fun near the end when I was struggling to finish our KBBB fic and my co-author stopped responding to any of my emails but still overall it was amazingly fun.)
There’s a lot I’m proud of in this series, too - it’s far more humorous than my baby!kinksters verse, for one thing, and Finn’s POV in it will never stop cracking me up even if I’m the one who wrote him.
