I can’t imagine how you could have known. I was sort dissociated for like half an hour, but it wasn’t bad. I was fine by the time I responded. Thanks for checking on me.
And it is a sort of interesting question for me, even though its a disturbing one. But I’m not sure I want to know the answer. If I have a perfectly benign and adaptive personality quirk that turns out to have been caused by childhood trauma, I don’t see why I need to know. Still I’m curious…

If it makes you feel better, I did it way before Toy Story came out and before I ever remember reading that story either? I think it’s pretty typical.
