“There is a difference between admitting and confessing. Admitting involves softening, making excuses for things that cannot be excused; confessing just names the crimes at its full severity.”

on the plus side, I have gotten a lot done so far today!

on the minus side, my office is particularly loud this morning and I am
beginning to have the headache, as they used to say.

am seriously considering peacing out and working from home, dick move or no.

also I feel like writing for like, the first time in weeks, and while I
don’t mind writing fic or even porn at work it is really disconcerting
trying to do so with coworkers just a few feet away from me.

I am really cranky lately, tho. Not really liking that about myself, but
also not sure I give all that many fucks.

in other, tentatively exciting news, I may have found a viable apartment
complex - it’s on the high end of my affordable-range, but I could make it
work; they’re pretty and garden-style, which I like; they allow pets; and
although they’re a good 15 miles from my work, I’m pretty sure* the commute
would be against traffic.

so…wish me luck? I clicked a “reserve” link and I’m going to try to visit
this weekend.

I’m also looking into available apartments in their sister complex closer
to me, but haven’t heard back about anything being available as of yet.

the words are still there. I have not lost them.
it is not a matter of being lost.

it is not a matter of being stolen, either -

no siren song has coaxed them from my throat,
there is no unrepentant thief to blame.
no curse holds me captive and mute.

I have only two brothers.

neither one requires a nettle shirt.

the words are still there. they have not left.
they have no need of hiding.

it is not a matter of being afraid.

they are just

so very tired.

seeing videos/art depicting the Closeted Trans Boy using ace bandages to bind makes me so angry. have the character wear two sports bras on top of each other or two tank tops or just baggy clothes?? stop promoting the idea that it’s ok to bind with bandages if you don’t have a binder. a lot of people don’t know how harmful it is.

this got a lot of notes so i figured it would be a good idea to add some links describing what safe binding is and resources for alternative binding methods

binding safety tips for all methods of binding

binding safety and different binding methods from hudson’s guide

more information on binding w/ ace bandages

MORF binder exchange—globally distributes free binders to trans people, all you have to pay is shipping

"inabind" binder donation program

a list of more binder donation programs

chest binder review blog

reviews of binders from several popular companies

homemade binder tutorial

another homemade binder tutorial

and one more

three hundred people have already reblogged this post and it would mean the world to me if you all reblogged it again with this new information. a lot of trans people dont have access to binders or know the dangers about binding, especially young trans people and those who have just started to identify as trans—this knowledge could help them immensely and save them (and their bodies) from unnecessary harm

happy binding

I am kind of sick of pizza but my head really hurts and my kitchen’s a disaster zone.

Why are there no other reasonably priced restaurants that deliver.

Have you done a google search for “food delivery [your city]”?

so.

many.

times.

*headdesk*

but!

I realized I had pop-open cans of Chef Boyardee and sliced peaches, and have since had a delicious mildly-mess-worsening dinner.

pop-open cans are the best. like, I am an abled person. it is not hard for me to use a can opener. and yet SOMETIMES the mere thought of using one is just far too daunting an idea. something about all the steps, IDK.

(and yes, I realize operating a can opener does not really involve all that many steps but it kind of does if you really break it down because you have to find it and then you have to set it in place and then puncture the can and then turn the wheel and turn the wheel and turn the wheel and turn the wheel and okay it’s stupid but sometimes that seems exhausting.)
